It’s a Small (Blog) World

Guys, guess who I met this weekend?!!

Hint:

Stolen from Equine Snob’s blog

This weekend I arrived at the horse show only to recognize a very pretty and distinctive looking Arabian mare standing  by our arena.  I was about 95% sure it was the one and only Fancy Pony from My Equine Odyssey.  Now because I couldn’t decide if it’d be super weird to just wander up and say “Hey, I’m Genny…I think I follow your blog?”, first I warmed up the dragon horse, and then walked over to say hello.

Jacq, the person behind My Equine Odyssey, was incredibly nice and easy to talk to.  Unfortunately O was not willing to play the stand and talk game, but we managed to chat a bit, and best of all we actually shared an arena and competed against each other in the 2’6” classes!  That has got to be a first for the blog world!

Thumbs up for the fact that we both do exist in real life! PC: Jacque

Oh yeah-and the Fancy Pony is indeed very fancy….they beat us soundly in the flat class!  I managed to watch some of their over fences classes too and that little horse has got major hops.  If you don’t follow her, you should!  Check out her blog here.

Turns out that they are about 45 minutes from me, so we exchanged phone numbers and decided we had to do this again!  If anything, I hope she’s back for our spring show series at my barn.  It’s such a small world!

She wrote about our meeting today too–check it out here!
