I have very exciting news.
This summer I get to be an Aunt for the very first time! I can’t wait.
That said, when we made the choice to hop from the 2’6” to the 2’3” I knew that I was cutting time pretty close on my family’s baby shower. And after getting dressed up, and headed out there hoping to be able to sneak into the classes I wanted…I decided that the show was a no-go for me. It was a hugely attended show and my class probably ran at like 3pm or something. The shower started at 2. So I hung around all morning at the show, ran errands for trainers, set a few jumps, cheered for my fellow riders, waved at my horse from the gate to her pasture. Then I had to go home and get pretty…breeches weren’t encouraged.
So after all, we didn’t get to show the 2’6” or 2’3” stuff, but there is half a dozen more shows I can get into coming up. Being there for the shower was really important. And hey, now we have more time to get ready.
